Before I let summer go here in the northern hemisphere... sneaking some more nice cream onto the blog -- this time with raspberries and cinnamon. It's an oldie recipe I put up on Instagram over a year ago. This is for when you've got zero time and barely any ingredients -- all it takes is some frozen fruit and you're set.
Don't let the fact that this recipe is simple / non-fussy fool you... it's so, so good. Cinnamon + berries make the perfect ice cream treat duo, super refreshing and packed with flavor.
P.S. Did you know that cinnamon is one of the world's most ancient spices? And also one that is said to be quite rich in health-boosting properties of all kind? (According to studies it's said to be an amazing digestive aid, a blood sugar-lowering food, a candida fighter, an immune booster, an anti-oxidant, and anti-bacterial, an anti-fungal, virus fighter, and more...). So adding a hint to your breakfast or treats (or anywhere else really -- heck I love it in my savory cooking, too) is an easy way to incorporate some more wholesome goodness in your day.
P.P.S. Did I create a troll-doll here or what?! ? (anyone remember those?)

Audrey,
How do you create the “Troll Hair” in the
Raspberry Cinnamon Nice Cream recipe? Beautifully done!
The Real Person!
Hi Sally, I make this in my Vitamix and the consistency is relatively firm, like a scoopable ice cream, which in this case I plopped on top of the jar and then just used the back of a spoon to run lines upwards / diagonal to shape it a little :)

I'm going to try your recipe tomorrow with some raspberries I have. However I do not see anything about maple syrup or flavor which is mentioned in one of your responses to a comment. Did I miss something or is there really no Maple in this basic recipe, thank you.
The Real Person!
Hi Sande. Sorry for the confusion. The maple reference was just a general reference to that combination of flavors, not specific to this recipe. You could add a drizzle to this nice cream if you like, but it's not essential :) Enjoy!

Ah screw the seasons IMO XD I LOVE smoothies during the fall and winter time! I'd also eat sweet potatoes in the summer and spring. LOL!
The Real Person!
Hehe. I know. I can't confine myself to seasons all so well. I wish I was able to do the whole seasonal produce thing, in theory I LOVE all the reasons behind it but in practice I have to go where my creativity / taste buds takes me!

Haha!! Definitely a troll doll! I had heaps of them as a kid

Me too, Lisa! :) They were my favorite for a good chunk of childhood.

My first thought is still troll, but this troll has some beautiful fiery colored hair! You know I actually don't think I've ever tried berries + cinnamon in all my many nicecream blends...must squeeze that in before it gets too chilly :)
The Real Person!
What?! It *never* happened?! ? But it's the best! Bananas + cinnamon + maple tastes like french toast nice cream..
